Ready to dig in.
Happy about his doughnut experience.
Diggin' in, face first.
While the two of them were gone, the bigs and I set up a gift that we'd been hiding in the garage. We were blessed with a free train table and we saved it for a couple weeks to give as a family birthday gift to Teebs. His eyes lit up and he gave an enthusiastic "Train!" when he walked in his room. So cute!

He opened a few other gifts, then spent the rest of the morning playing.
Well, he did have one break from playing when he received a Skype call from Papa and Nana. He giggled and rocked while they serenaded him with a rousing rendition of "Happy Birthday".
Lunch. Nap. Bath. Then it was time for dinner. He's still too young to choose his own birthday dinner, so we picked foods he loves. Bananas, grapes, almonds, chips, and cheese. He was happy!
(Yes, I see that some of the grapes were bad. Unfortunately I didn't notice that before taking the picture. I assure you we didn't feed the birthday boy rotten grapes.)
Dinner was followed by birthday cake. This year's cake was an UNO card with the number two on it. Two for his age, obviously. UNO because he loves carrying UNO cards with him wherever he goes and playing his own version of the game, which basically involves dealing all the cards, picking them up, then dealing them again.
I had tried to take pictures in the traditional birthday outfit earlier in the day, but he was tired, crabby, and totally uninterested. First time we've had that problem out of 28 birthdays with our kids. Tim tried in the evening, though, and was successful.
Teebs held the pants up.
Then he decided that wasn't much fun and let them drop.
Then he just stood around being cute.
And with that, the day was done and he went off to bed. Pretty fun day!
