MENU - SECOND HALF OF OCTOBER 2012

We've tried a handful of new recipes lately and here are the keepers.

* buttermilk biscuits with chives and black pepper - I ate almost half the batch.  They're that good!
* chocolate peanut butter banana ice cream - A hit with the little Ws
* green bean lasagna - Vegetarian and tasty!
* Hawaiian crockpot chicken - Always a fan of tasty crockpot dishes.
* rhubarb crisp - Our first time using rhubarb and this dessert was good.
* simple roasted broccoli - Pretty much wonderful.
* stuffed portabella mushrooms - Delicious and easy.

Tim's transitioning out out of the meal replacements he's been using most of the day back to regular food and the rest of us are amping up our veggie intake.  We've always eaten a lot of produce, including veggies, but we're kicking it up a notch and swapping some fruits for veggies.  We're not abandoning dessert, though.  I promise you that!  We're just shifting some quantities around.

Tim will be eating some of these meals with us, which I'll mark with his initial, but some aren't lean and green enough and I'll list his meals for those nights separately. Some of his meals are repeated, which is why his list looks smaller than ours.  Soon we'll all be back to eating the same thing every night, but this split menu is working for now.
