I'm thankful for Carol, Connie, Debbie, Kit, Linda, Sherry (just realized I've never seen her name in writing and I'm not sure how she spells it), and Ruth, otherwise known as Tyler's church grandmas. Not only were these ladies a lifeline for me during my hard pregnancy with Tyler, but they wait with open arms to snuggle him (which is the nice way to say they argue over who gets to hold him first), dote on how cute he is, and some of them made blankets that he is regularly wrapped up in.

I'm thankful that after years of not caring, and not being motivated... I finally got bit by the garden bug. We've spent the last two weekends preparing raised vegetable beds, and even thought it's been pretty cold, windy and miserable... nothing can dampen my spirits when it comes to getting some seed in the ground.
I think I finally found what it was going to take for me. I just applied the same 'use what I have, make it cute' philosophy that I use on my house and the whole project is coming together nicely. Why on earth it took me til now to realize that if I was going to work with vegetables, my garden area would have to be different and pleasing to the eye is beyond me.
