DEVON'S BIRTHDAY - 2015

This is a mononumeric year for Devon and he took part in all of our regular birthday traditions.

Doughnuts, actually a waffle-nut in this case, with Tim in the morning.

Gifts later in the morning.

The dinner of his choice in the evening. He almost always asks for sausage balls, fun chips (as opposed to the plain tortilla chips we usually buy), and fruit salad (the exact combo varies from year to year), and this time around was no different.

Pictures in the birthday outfit, both serious and silly, after we were done eating.

He got both of his legs into one leg of the pants ...

... turned into an angry snake (or something) ...

... and looked like he was striking a pose when he was actually just trying to keep the pants from falling off.

Ice cream with me later in the evening. We tried out an ice cream parlor we'd never gone to, El Paisanito, and it was yummy! They had a ton of ice cream flavors, both traditional (strawberry, vanilla, cookies and cream) and unusual (avocado, rose petal, and sweet corn), shaved ice, fruit bars, and so on. It's take-out only, so we snagged an empty bench out on the sidewalk and chatted while we ate our treats.

Then the day was done.
