Last Thursday afternoon Tyler pulled out his Play-Doh and pretty soon Naomi, Devon, and Silas were at the table with him. I stopped what I was doing to join them, which I confess is not my default response to this kind of thing, and we all had a great time with a spontaneous Play-Doh party.
Nothing is perfect and by mid-afternoon I deeply regretted allowing everyone to skip naps and down time for this fun time together. Thursdays are always our roughest day, but I often think sunshine and roses at 1:00 will last through the evening. I'm always wrong, hence this alarm that's now on my phone.
We won't repeat the timing of our little party, but it was definitely fun while it lasted and I'm glad I thought to take some pictures.
