All 6 Ws headed to the library last Saturday for the Maker Faire, an event with several different stations for people to create things. They had stations for paper airplanes, paracord bracelets, whirlygigs, jelly bean & toothpick engineering, knitting on ring looms, building bridges with popsicle sticks, paper cup structures, Legos, and straw rockets.
Silas had offered to run a paracord bracelet station. He had written to and talked with the manager at Wheeler Dealer ahead of time and she granted his request to donate paracord for the event, so he was able to help a bunch of kids make their own bracelets. Tim jumped in to help at some point because there were so many kids there at once. The rest of us spent our time rotating between the stations.
It was a fun event! I don't know if the library has done them in the past or not, but hopefully they'll keep doing them.
