THANKFUL THURSDAY
I'm thankful for a roof over our heads that provides comfort and protection from various types of weather. What's something that you're thankful for?

OUR CREW
Not only were all 6 Ws home tonight for the first time since 1/2, but we also had our bonus Ws, Natie and Gabriel, with us for the evening. So much talking, eating, and laughing! I'm thankful for an evening together with our whole crew. Really thankful.

WINTER FESTIVAL - 2019
Our homeschool group has seasonal festivals in fall, winter, and spring. There are always 5-6 stations with various games, crafts, or treats that are usually related to the season at hand and the kids just rotate their way through all of them for an hour. This year's winter festival was today and included a snowman bean bag toss, snowman assembly with toilet paper and accessories, candy guessing game (Naomi won one of the three jars!), fancy hot chocolate packet making, winter puzzles and mazes, and snowflake creations from pipe cleaner and beads. We had a good time and I snapped a few blurry pictures of the kids.
And someone snapped one of me. Why? Because I did a craft. Shocking!

THANKFUL THURSDAY
I'm thankful Tim went out of his way to take Devon, Naomi, and Tyler to church last night when neither Silas nor I were available to do it. What's one thing that you're thankful for?

1/5/19 - WORTH REPEATING
*****
I hope you live a life you're proud of. If you find that you are not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.
~ F. Scott Fitzgerald
*****
If I didn't know what it hurt like to be broken / Then how would I know what it feels like to be whole / If I didn't know what it cuts like to be rejected / Then I wouldn't know the joy of coming home
Maybe it's ok if I'm not ok / Cause the one who holds the world is holding onto me / Maybe it's alright if I'm not alright / Cause the one who holds the stars is holding my whole life
If I didn't know what it looked like to be dirty / Then I wouldn't know what it feels like to be clean / If all of my shame hadn't drove me to hide in the shadows / Then I wouldn't know the beauty of being free
~ We Are Messengers in Maybe It's Ok

Your most important work is rarely the easiest work. In fact, just the opposite is more true. Your most meaningful and significant work will be the hardest for you to accomplish.
Those who focus on the reasons they can't will forever remain paralyzed by their pessimism.
But those who focus on the reasons they can, find hope and energy and perseverance. And in the end, they are most satisfied with the life they have chosen to live.

No one has ever choked to death from swallowing his pride.

THANKFUL THURSDAY
I'm thankful for all the blankets in our blanket bin - the variety of sizes, fabrics, and colors; the time that people spent to make or buy them for us; remembering the occasions that brought each one into our home; the warmth they provide for all of us, whether sleeping in bed, sprawled on the living room floor for a movie, or curled up in a chair with a good book. What's something that you're thankful for?
